Our Annual Cleanup will begin Monday, April 2nd and continue through Friday, April 27th. The project will again follow the regularly scheduled brush and limb pickup schedule. As usual, there will be NO pickup of brush and limbs during the cleanup. Brush and limb pickup will resume in May. The other months for brush and limb pickup are March, September, and November.
This map is also available on the City of Denison website as the regular brush route. All items must be placed at the front street line of each home by 6:30 am of the day scheduled for that street. No materials should be set out earlier than the weekend preceding the scheduled day. Materials set out too early will be subject to regular curbside charges.
Items should not be placed underneath utility wires, low-lying limbs, on top of gas meters, manholes, or water valve boxes. All vehicles and trailers parked by trash piles should be moved so workers have adequate access with large trucks.
The City will pick up appliances, tires, and batteries, but they must be kept separate from all other items. The City will not pick up roofing materials or sheet rock unless it is placed in appropriate containers rented from the City.
The annual cleanup project is provided for Denison residential sanitation customers only. The City will not pick up any commercial or contractor-generated building, construction, or remodeling materials or debris. The City will not pick up paint, chemicals, or computer monitors.
Residents whose trash is not picked up on the scheduled date should call the Public Works office at 903-465-2720, extension 2040, no later than noon the day following the scheduled pickup. If a failure to pick up the trash is not reported, all materials are subject to the standard rate of $30.00 per cubic yard.
Beginning Monday, April 30th, the City will resume charging for special curbside pickups.
