StoryWalks at THF Park
Join Denison Parks and Rec and Denison Public Library in a celebration of the sheer joy of reading! Step into the enchanting world of literature as you traverse our StoryWalk trail, immersing yourself in the pages of our featured books. Delight in book-themed activities crafted to enhance your experience. We eagerly await your presence at these literary extravaganzas!

Guided Nature Walks
Embark on an enriching journey into nature with our Texas Certified Master Naturalist and certified environmental scientist, Mike Zapata! With over a decade of experience, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge in entomology, forestry, wildlife biology/ecology, paleontology, herpetology, and ichthyology.
These engaging and free events welcome participants of all ages, offering a unique opportunity to explore and learn from a seasoned professional.
Preregistration is required, so secure your spot for an immersive and educational experience in the heart of nature.

Pilates in the Park
Looking for a FREE and fun outdoor wellness activity? Come try out the Pilates at THF Park led by Ability Pilates and Yoga!
Dates: Each Saturday in April and May

Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Location: THF Park (near the volleyball courts). Location is subject to change.
All ages and abilities are welcome and don't forget your mat! Registration is not required for this program.

Pickleball PlayDay
If you’re new to the game, we invite you join us to learn, play, and pickle in a welcoming environment. Discover the joy of pickleball at this exciting gathering that promises fun, camaraderie, and active play. Don't miss out on the action! Feel free to bring your own pickleball paddles to the event! We also have starter paddles available for those who might not have their own.
*Minimum number of 2 participants per session | Denison Parks and Recreation retains the right to consolidate participants into a single session should the number of participants fall below the minimum requirement.

Yellow Jacket Tailgating
Join us for Yellow Jacket Tailgating along Touchdown Alley outside of Munson Stadium before each DHS home game this season! These are free family events with interactive games and vendors!
