Sign Permit

All signs require a permit and final inspections. This includes off-premise signs, channel letter signs, building signs, pole signs, monument signs, etc.

Sign installers must be registered with the City of Denison as a Contractor. The sign permit application is available online to Contractors registered with the City. 

Pole signs are required to have a site plan for set backs and engineered drawings, and pole sign footings must be inspected prior to pouring concrete. 

When apply for a building sign, please include two sets of drawings and/or photos with address, size, material, how it is attached to the building, site plan, total cost, contractor’s name and phone number. 

A registered master licensed electrician with an electrical contractors license, electrical permit, and an electrical inspection is required for electrical hookups to signs.
