Minimum Property Standards Assistance Program
The City of Denison Code of Ordinances require property owners to maintain all homes to meet Minimum Property Standards (MPS), specifically the exterior structure and exterior grounds of properties. The purpose of the ordinance is to protect the value of Denison properties, help ensure the health and safety of neighborhoods while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of Denison neighborhoods.
The Minimum Property Standards Assistance Program is designed to help low to moderate income Denison residents make the required repairs to meet the MPS ordinance. Qualifying residents can recieve up to $7,500 toward repairs that bring their home into MPS compliance.
