Water System Maintenance Notice - May 22nd, 2024

The City of Denison is requesting that those receiving water from the city water distribution network reduce water usage the evening of Wednesday May 22nd, 2024 (especially outdoor water use.)

This request is due to work involving a planned potable water main pipeline tie-in being performed at the Dean Rylant Water Treatment Plant. The pipeline tie-in is a critical milestone under an ongoing construction project being performed by Archer Western Construction on behalf of the City of Denison. The project is aimed at improving our water system infrastructure and service to residents in the City of Denison.

During this tie-in, water production at the treatment plant will be temporarily paused and water demand will be served from City reservoirs and elevated storage tanks only. Residents and businesses should not notice an interruption to service.

Normal water production will resume once the tie-in is completed and after all necessary clean up and disinfection is performed.

The tie in will begin Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, at 10 p.m. and is estimated to take approximately 8 hours.

If you have any issues after hours, you can call our after-hours number at: (903) 465-2720, Ext. 5105

*This maintenance will be weather permitting. We will update this post if it is rescheduled due to weather.*

Thank you for your cooperation.
